The Purple Grid does not off-gas, but you might notice a new product smell when you first open your mattress, pillow, or seat cushion. This is normal! The smell will fade, but the time it takes to do so will depend on the product, your space, and your room's ventilation.
To speed up the process, you could keep your windows open and fan on to increase the air flow around your new product. If you have a smaller product like a Purple Pillow or seat cushion, you can remove the cover and wash the Purple Grid with a gentle hand or dish soap and let it air dry. (Do not wash the Purple Grid in your mattress. This may void your warranty.)
Keep in mind that for products used closer to your face, like a pillow or mattress, the smell may seem to take longer to dissipate.
