If using a slatted bedframe with no additional foundation, slats must be no more than 3.5 inches apart. Purple branded bed frames are approved and recommended to use with Purple mattresses.

Why do you recommend slats be 3.5 inches apart?

With only horizontal slats, 3.5 inches provides the best support for the mattress. Our Metal Platform Base uses horizontal and vertical support bars providing a stronger base for the mattress to sit on.
